Amedeo Avogadro
Amedeo Avogadro

(1776-1856)

Avogadro received training early in life to be a lawyer but became fascinated by the study of math and science, particularly the field of physics. He performed experiments exploring the relatively new area of electricity, and explored the different properties of liquids. Eventually Avogadro became interested in the study of gases, and even published a theory about the movement of particles in gases that became known as Avogadro's Law.
